GENERAL:-The “AUTHENTIC” Carbon Black Content Tester has been designed incorporating many features and new ideas. The apparatus conforms to the most generally recognized National & International standers including BIS, IS, ASTM etc.The Method depends on the fact that non-polar olifent polymers, when heated in an inert atmospheres (e.g. oxygen free nitrogen).

Undergo a yrolyticdepolymerisatio, breaking down into smaller molecutes which can be effectively distilled off at the pyrolytic temp. Any non-volatile components –for instance Carbon Black –will be left in the furnace and it has been demonstrated that they may be recoveredquantitatively by this method.
