UPS System Consists of the following main parts: a power line conditioner which provides a regulated and transient free output power to the loads, a battery charger and a single Pulse Width modulated square wave inverter. Under normal condition, UPS’ feeds the load with regulated output voltage through line conditioner and battery is getting charged at a predetermined charging rate. During normal AC mains operation, inverter system is inhibited through an electronic monitoring and control logic. If the line voltage disappears, the battery supplies the output power through the inverter with a minimum transfer time of less than 0.5-3 millisec. All these components including the SMF batteries are housed in one cubicle aesthetically designed to suit the modern office.
