Four prong clamps are designed so that the smaller types will able to hold articles up to 90mm with the larger industrial clamps being capable of holding larger items. Four prong clamps with interlocking jaws allow you to hold objects from 1/8" to 3-1/2" in diameter. It can be used for both burettes and condensers.
The jaws are lined with cork to insure a secure grip. Rod attached is 8mm in diameter and 150mm long for a good reach during practical. Four prong clamps are available in different finishes like nickel plated, zinc plated or black powder coated. It can be customaries by request. The clamp is actuated by nickel plated pummels and has a nickel plated twin screw. The alloy clamps are constructed in precision die-casting zinc based alloy. The melting point of this material is 400 degree Celsius but the material will soften at 250 degree Celsius.
The maximum recommended safe working temperature for this material is 180 degree Celsius. Clamps and boss heads fitted with plastic headed screws are not suitable for the use in sub-zero, radioactive or carbon dioxide environments.
