Striping Value Apparatus
Product Details:
The film stripping test is used to measure the resistance of bituminous mixture to stripping of the asphalt from rock particles and is generally used to judge the adhesive capacity of bituminous material. Stone screenings for use with seal coats or open graded mixes are usually subjected to this test. The test is applied to the aggregate fraction passing the 9.25mm sieve and retained on 8mm sieve.
This device consists a disc on which four bottles are mounted. The disc rotates at a rate of approximately 100 rpm. A time switch is provided. The sample is kept in bottle and agitated for fifteen minutes. The percentage of aggregates stripped is then estimated by visual observation. Suitable for operation on 220V ~, 50Hz. Supply.
