Torvane Shear Apparatus
Product Details:
The apparatus consists of a calibrated helical torque spring enclosed in a barrel. At one end of the spring is attached a four bladed vane disc while to the other is attached gripping handle. A dial calibrated from 0 to 1 Kg/Cm2 in 0.02 Kg/cm2 division directly reads the shear strength of the soil sample. The pointer and the dial are housed in the gripping handle. The pointer records the angular twist of the spring converted to shear stress in Kg/cm2 with the standard vane, maximum shear strength recorded is 1 Kg/cm2
