Piccolo Xpress has been made to improve patient management, reducing the costs and increasing the efficiency of care. With its ability to give test results in 12 minutes health care industry people can diagnose the patients in a single visit.
The Piccolo Xpress® chemistry analyzer allows healthcare practitioners to perform routine multi-chemistry panels using 0.1cc of whole blood, serum or plasma. That’s only 3 – 4 drops. The system uses patented single-use reagent discs which contain up to 14 chemistry tests.
3 Simple Steps to operate Piccolo Xpress
Step 1: Add Sample
Simply collect 100uL of whole blood, serum or plasma and transfer it into the self-contained reagent disc. The disposable, single-use disc contains all the reagents and diluent necessary to perform a complete multi-test chemistry panel.
Step 2: Insert Disc
Follow the touchscreen commands. Press “Analyze Sample”, then place the disc into the analyzer drawer. Enter the requested information and the Piccolo Xpress does the rest In approximately 12 minutes, the results are ready!
Step 3: Read Results
Complete panel results including patient demographics, chemistry concentrations, reference ranges, sample integrity indices and iQC® are available on the full-color display, printed on a self-adhesive roll-tape, transmitted to an external printer, computer or LIS/EMR system. The Piccolo Xpress stores up to 5000 patient results.
