Split Spoon Sampler
Product Details :
We offer Split Spoon Sampler that is known used for standard penetration test and for determining penetration resistance (N value) of soil. This can be related to unconfined compressive strength. The penetration resistance (N value) of the soil is determined by allocating a number of blows along with a 65 kg weight that falls through a given distance of 75 cm that is required to penetrate the assembly to a depth of about 30 cm when properly seated on the ground. The sampler is generally made from a steek tube that splits length wise and precisely held together by a head, which is fitted with a ball check valve and properly hardened steel shoe of inside cutting edge of 35mm dia. The sampler is of 35mm I.D. and 50.8mm in outer diameter and 508 mm in length. An adaptor to connect 'A' type drill rod is also provided with this.
