Fine Testing  provides Olympus' phased array detectors which produce precise and explicit cross-sectional pictures of internal structures at fast inspection speeds. Phased array technology uses various ultrasonic elements along with time delays to create beams that can be focused electronically for fast and multiple angle inspections. Phased array technology is highly accurate and reliable when it comes to non-destructive testing.

Omni Scan SX :

The Omni Scan SX from Olympus is a flaw detector that shares its roots with Omni Scan and has evolved with over 20 years of experience in phased array technology. In order to improve effectiveness, Omni Scan SX offers a new streamlined software interface displayed on an 8.4in (21.3cm) touch screen. Omni Scan SX is a user friendly and cost-effective system which is highly suitable for less demanding applications.

Omni Scan SX comes in two models: the SX PA and SX UT. The SX PA is a 16:64PR phased array unit whereas SX UT is equipped with a conventional UT channel for pulse-echo, pitch-catch or TOFD (Time-of-Flight Diffraction) inspection. Omni Scan SX has a clear edge when it comes to portability and ease of use. In comparison to Omni Scan MX2, it is 33% lighter and 50% smaller, offering an unprecedented level of portability.

The Omni Scan MX offers a high acquisition rate and unique software features to perform manual and automated inspections efficiently. With thousands of units in use throughout the world, it is one of the most popular equipment across several industries in non-destructive testing. 

Omni Scan MX is designed keeping the harshest field conditions in mind. A solid polycarbonate  based casing and rubber bumpers make it a rugged instrument, capable of withstanding drops and shocks. Its compact size and light weight enable it to be carried easily and handled anywhere. It runs for 6 hours with its two Li-ion batteries.

FOCUS PX :

This equipment from Olympus provides advanced phased array integration solutions that meet the requirements of the most demanding inspections. The solution includes the FOCUS PX which is a powerful and scalable acquisition unit, the Focus PC which is a powerful data acquisition and analysis software program, and two software development kits (SDK) known as Focus Control and Focus Data. It is capable of customizing the software interface based on the required application and controlling the Focus PC to become a fully automated inspection solution.

Built with the latest technology from Olympus, FOCUS PX provides an excellent phased array signal quality which results in optimum signal-to-noise ratio. It is optimized to reduce programming time significantly, resulting in minimized cycle time and better operator experience.
