Sugar Analyzing System

Sugar Analyzing System:

Sucrolyser

  • Analysis of sugar content, dry substance, and apparent purity
  • Complies with the official ICUMSA methods as well as other standards (e.g. OIML and Australian standard K157)
  • Fast measurements of up to 120 measurements/hour due to temperature-compensated analysis of %Brix and °Z

Sucrolyser is a powerful sugar analysis system for sugar factories. It is used in the quality control of sugar cane as a part of payment analysis or as an extended laboratory system for multiple methods of sample preparation and chemical factory control. Independent of the clarifying agent, all kinds of samples can be checked on their sugar content. As a combined arrangement of an MCP Sucromat and an Abbemat refractometer, the Sucrolyser system offers advanced possibilities additional to each of these instruments’ individual features.

Key Features

Automatic and efficient purity analysis of sugar products

The combination of Anton Paar’s MCP Sucromat sugar polarimeter and Abbemat refractometer creates a powerful sugar analysis system, substantially increasing the performance of your sugar factory. The raw, intermediate, and final products of sugar manufacturing can be checked on sugar content (Pol, °Z), dry substance (°Brix), and apparent purity (%) – all in one cycle – density-corrected according to the Schmitz table.

Full compliance to ICUMSA

The Sucrolyser system complies with the official ICUMSA methods as well as further national and international standards (e.g. OIML and Australian standard K157). Established methods with and without temperature correction (depending on application) for sugar content measurement are integrated as default. Additionally, for temperature-controlled measurements, Anton Paar offers Peltier temperature control to provide homogeneous and fast temperature equilibrium. The Sucrolyser system covers all requirements in the reception lab for the analysis of sugar cane juice and in quality control for diverse analysis tasks.

2 instruments – 1 interface: fast measurements with high flexibility

Handling the Sucrolyser sugar analyzer is clear and easy: When connected, both instruments can be operated through the MCP Sucromat’s big touchscreen and all data is recorded in one report. Samples such as sugar cane juice can be measured by simply pouring them into a filling funnel, which enables a smooth workflow and high throughput. In case you want to perform sugar content measurements with samples which were clarified lead-free and which are hence darker than samples clarified with lead, MCP Sucromat models can be equipped with the second official ICUMSA wavelength of 880 nm – upgraded on-site or already purchased as dual-wavelength saccharimeters.

Sturdy setup for reliable results and a long instrument life

Neither humidity nor temperature nor vibrations will influence sugar content measurements performed with the robust Sucrolyser system as sensitive optical and electronic components are located in a sealed housing, resistant to dust and spillage. To ensure durability, there are no moving parts inside of the instruments. Long-life LED light sources, which are maintenance-free for 100,000 hours, reduce downtimes of the instruments to the bare minimum.
